Photograph added to the gallery on 5/21/2019. A side view of Breakneck Falls at McConnells Mill State park. I had always thought this waterfall was much smaller than it really is, and was very surprised when I saw it in person for the first time.
A beautiful but dangerous place at McConnells Mill State Park - numerous large moss-covered boulders make up the area below Breakneck Falls. This photo was added on 5/21/2019.
Added 5/16/2019 - The main waterfall at Fall Run Park with the flowing stream beneath it. This is a great place for a short and easy hike for anyone who lives in the Pittsburgh area. The waterfall itself is along the main trail, and there is a set of stairs that takes you to the top of it.

This photograph was taken in the Upper Field at North Park (Allegheny County, PA) on a hot August afternoon. The Red Clover pictured here stood out against the busy grasses and weeds in the field.
Fall Run Park Waterfall 1142-1167
This photograph of the largest waterfall at Fall Run Park was taken on a rainy afternoon. In order to obtain the field of view that I wanted, I took a series of shots with a 55mm lens and stitched them together afterward.
Fountain of Youth at North Park
The Fountain of Youth at North Park (Allegheny County, PA) is a somewhat hidden feature on the West side of the park. There is no sign or parking lot, but it is pretty easy to get to once you know where it is. While there no longer is a water pump inside (due to being deemed insufficient for human consumption), it is still a neat place to check out. Just minutes from Pittsburgh, Fall Run Park is one of the largest waterfalls in the area. This Shaler, PA waterfall is shown here in early Summer surrounded by lush greenery.
More than anything, I think I like this photograph because of how well it shows of the characteristics of the lens (the Pentax D-FA 100mm WR). It's a perfect example of just how good the bokeh and out-of-focus transitions are.

Hells Hollow Falls is located in Pennsylvania's McConnells Mill State Park. This is one of the more impressive and popular waterfalls in the park, and can be reached by a pretty short and easy hike from the parking area.
